Lexi Scatena, otherwise known as the girl with the pink guitar, has lit up the musical landscape with her honest and captivating singing and songwriting. The pink guitar has come to represent everything she strives to embody with her music, as she gracefully combines both vulnerable and optimistic messages in her lyrics. Above all, her storytelling shows that she is undeniably authentic and unique.
The 21-year-old music artist was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but credits her newer home Reno, Nevada as the starting ground of her career. During her sophomore year of college, Scatena began performing at a number of local events and Coffeehouse concerts, where she gained invaluable experience opening for artists such as The Voice contestant, Dustin Hatzenbuhler, and Vine-Star.
In 2018, her voice caught the attention of electronic Swedish DJ, Dani Kays, who featured her on his single, “Saviour.” The track received regional airplay, worldwide press, and almost 20,000 streams on Spotify. After gaining success from the EDM track, Scatena released her emotional and engaging debut single, “Hopeless Romantics,” wherein she subtly shifted into the R&B scene.
After drawing inspiration from some of her favorite artists, such as JOY., H.E.R., and Lennon Stella, she’s already hard at work on her next few singles that she plans to release by the end of this year. Recently, she released her chill RnB/Pop single, "Just a Phase" with BonFire Records.
