Singing before she could talk, it is no surprise that Lexi Scatena would grow up to be the music artist that she is today. Widely known in her community as “the girl with the pink guitar,” Scatena uses her instrument as a way to showcase her feminine and fun side. Combining vulnerable, honest, and optimistic messages in her lyrics, her storytelling shows that she is no short of genuine. Scatena’s vocals and artistry are comparable to female powerhouses like Adele, Tori Kelly, Sara Barelles & Camila Cabello.
The 20-year-old singer-songwriter was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but credits her new home of Reno, Nevada as the starting ground of her career. She dove into the music scene during her sophomore year at the University of Nevada, Reno. Scatena performed at a number of the University’s Coffeehouse concerts, opening up for artists such as Vine-star & The Voice contestant, Dustin Hatzenbuhler.
A few years prior, Scatena posted covers of her favorite artists on Youtube and Soundcloud. In 2018, her voice caught the attention of electronic Swedish DJ, Dani Kay’s, who featured Scatena on his single, “Saviour.” The track received regional airplay, worldwide press, and almost 20,000 streams on Spotify. After gaining success from the EDM track, Scatena migrated to sultry R&B and released her debut single, “Hopeless Romantics.” Currently, Scatena is exploring the pop world with her collaborative anti-party party song, “Invisible,” with producer and artist, Wayne Auxen.
Lexi Scatena strives to stay true to herself, yet continues her journey of self-discovery & musical growth by experimenting within the genres she loves.
